Your Wall of Love, on Your Own Domain
A custom domain moves your Wall of Love — and every link you send customers to collect reviews — off ratingwall.com and onto a domain you own, like reviews.yourbrand.com. Customers who click a collection link, scan a QR code, or tap a WhatsApp review request see your domain the whole way through, never RatingWall's.
Setup is one DNS record. Add a CNAME at your domain registrar pointing at RatingWall, and it verifies automatically — no certificates to manage, no server to configure.
What's included
One DNS record, verified automatically
Add a single CNAME record at your registrar. RatingWall checks for it every few minutes and switches your domain live the moment it resolves — no manual step on your end.
Every outbound link updates at once
Your wall's URL, collection links, QR codes, WhatsApp prefilled message links, and individual review pages all switch to your domain the moment it verifies.
Free SSL, included
A valid HTTPS certificate for your domain is issued and renewed automatically — nothing to buy or configure.
Falls back safely
If you ever remove your custom domain, every link keeps working at its ratingwall.com URL instead — nothing breaks.
How it works
1. Add your domain
Enter a domain you own (e.g. reviews.yourbrand.com) and pick the wall it should serve, in Dashboard → Settings.
2. Add one CNAME record
RatingWall shows you the exact record to add at your domain registrar.
3. It verifies automatically
Usually within a few minutes of the DNS record going live, sometimes up to a few hours depending on your registrar.
4. Every link is yours
Your wall, collection links, QR codes, and WhatsApp message links all use your domain from that point on.
Frequently asked questions
What plan do I need for a custom domain?
Custom domains are available on the Pro plan.
Do I need to buy an SSL certificate?
No — RatingWall issues and renews a valid HTTPS certificate for your domain automatically once it verifies.
Which links actually change to my domain?
Your wall's live URL, collection links, QR codes, WhatsApp prefilled message links, and individual review permalinks all switch to your domain automatically. The embeddable widget script tag and the small "Collected via RatingWall" badge stay on ratingwall.com, same as any embedded widget.
What happens if I remove my custom domain later?
Every link falls back to working at its ratingwall.com URL — nothing stops working.
How long does DNS verification take?
Usually a few minutes after the CNAME record is added and has propagated; occasionally up to a few hours depending on your registrar. RatingWall checks automatically, and you can trigger an immediate recheck from Settings.
